Sam Meier

Sam earned his bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Dallas and his master’s in counseling from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs. Sam has worked at Benedictine College since 2018, and has attended trainings on a variety of topics including anxiety, depression, addiction, sexual integrity, emotional connection, healthy conflict, trauma, and suicide prevention. He continues to attend trainings to further his knowledge on a variety of clinical areas. He has been through the CSAT program, and has also attended multiple courses at the Theology of the Body Institute. During his career, he has also worked at residential treatment centers, a Christian counseling center, the Archdiocese of Kansas City in KS, and private practice counseling. At the archdiocese, he coordinated the My House program and one of the largest diocesan lists of Catholic counselors. He, his wife, and their children live in the Kansas City area. They have been through the Christ Renews His Parish program, and are active in other groups at their parish and children’s schools. Sam enjoys outdoor sports, coaching his kid’s teams, DIY projects, fly-fishing, and J.R.R. Tolkien novels.
