RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a course open to all students who desire to learn more about the Catholic Faith, especially those interested in joining the Church or receiving First Confession, First Holy Communion, and/or Confirmation. For more information, contact David Krymowski

Marriage Preparation

Engaged couples may receive all or part of the necessary preparations for marriage through Benedictine College Ministry. Chaplains are available to offer instruction and administer the FOCCUS test, and Drs. Jim and Jennifer Madden offer a marriage prep course every year. For more information, contact Campus Ministry.

Natural Family Planning (NFP)

Women and engaged couples are invited to take Natural Family Planning courses through Benedictine College Ministry. NFP promotes women’s health and the Church’s teaching on openness to new life.  For more information, contact Campus Ministry.

Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Accompaniment

Spiritual direction is available to any student or employee who wishes to meet regularly with a college chaplain, or visiting religious brother, sister, or priest. Members of the  School Sisters of Christ the King, and the Marian Sisters offer appointments for spiritual direction. To sign up, stop by the Ministry Office. Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary, a worldwide association of Catholics, seeks to foster Marian devotion and to evangelize the world through strength and protection of Mary, the Mother of God. In keeping with the Legion's focus on prayer and weekly spiritual works of mercy, the particular ministries of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Praesidium at Benedictine College include Marian statue visits, nursing home visits, distribution of medals and other sacramentals , and the campus-wide total Consecration. Fiat

Fiat is a place for women dedicated to encountering Christ through the Immaculata by walking with Mary using both Scripture and Tradition. Through reading passages of the Bible, learning about apparitions, and studying the Saints particularly devoted to Our Mother, we become a better witness to our Holy Mother, her Beloved Son, and our Catholic faith. Regnum Christi

Regnum Christi is a Catholic movement whose members seek to bring the Kingdom of Christ among men through prayer and witness. By incorporating the message of the Gospel into our everyday lives, we aspire to have Christ reign in our hearts as well as in our society. Regnum Christi on campus allows is to build a community id fellowship and accountability. Together we are able to grow in relation with one another as well as strive for Heaven. Ministry Fair

At the beginning of each semester, each Ministry team, organization, and program participates in a Ministry Fair, where students can sign up to be involved in any group or event that Ministry sponsors. For more information, contact Sarah Klosterman.

House Blessings

Ministry chaplains are available at the beginning of each semester to offer blessings to students living in off-campus houses. For more information, contact us.

Koinonia

This student-run retreat is offered each semester. Similar to TEC, Koinonia offers fellowship, the sacraments, and opportunities to grow in your faith. For more information, contact us.

Vocation Fair and Vocation Visits

Students interested in discerning a call to religious life have the opportunity to meet with dozens of religious orders and diocesan vocation directors at Ministry’s annual Vocation Fair, held on campus every spring.

Priests, brothers, and sisters from various orders also visit Benedictine College throughout the year to give talks, meet with students, offer spiritual direction, and host receptions so that our students can learn more about their communities.  For more information, contact Sarah Klosterman.

Speakers

Ministry brings a variety of speakers and performers to campus each year.  Presentations cover a wide range of topics, including Theology of the Body, missionary work, virtue, current events, and Catholic social thought. For more information, contact Patricia Oliver.

Consecration to Mary

Ministry sponsors a Consecration to Mary ceremony every year on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Beginning in October with a presentation about the consecration, students are invited to give their lives to Christ through Mary. Free consecration booklets are distributed by the Ministry office. Jam for the Lamb

At the end of each semester, Ministry sponsors a night of music, worship, and fun for students, faculty, and staff.  For more information, contact Nicholas McGill

Pilgrimages

Ministry occasionally sponsors pilgrimages to Rome and the Holy Land. The trips usually coincide with spring break or are in the summer. For more information, contact Cassie Coyle.
