The 2022 NAIA Women’s Lacrosse National Champions
On Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Blue Devils Stadium in Southfield, Michigan, Benedictine College’s Women’s Lacrosse team defeated Lawrence Tech University to secure the program’s first-ever NAIA National Championship.
The first National Championship for a Benedictine College team since 1967, this was an historic and exhilarating victory. We are extremely proud of our Women’s Lacrosse Ravens, in only their sixth year as a program, and in Coach Clare Hanson’s first year leading the team. Read more about the Championship
Several team players received special recognition in the NAIA tournament. Erica Odell was named the Tournament MVP and was joined by Margaux Gelbach, Aiden McEnerney, Clare Ryan, and Natalie Wechter on the All-Tournament team. In addition, five Ravens were named NAIA All-Americans, including Rianna England, Aiden McEnerney, Erica Odell, Clare Ryan and Natalie Wechter.
