Raven Day Campus Visits

Answer your questions while getting to know us, our campus and our students, all in one day! Join other prospective students in this group visit event on select Mondays and Fridays of the academic year! Beginning at 8:15 a.m. and concluding at 2:30 p.m., Raven Days provide an informative visit to our college community where you can take a walking tour of campus, learn about academic and student life, connect with your admission counselor, eat in the Dining Hall, and attend an interest session or two. You are welcome to attend Mass with our current students, too.

    Check in takes place in the lower level of St. John Paul II Student Center (February 21) or the lower level of the Ferrell Academic Center (March 18, April 1, and April 22)

    Welcome Remarks from Peter A. Helgesen, Dean of Enrollment Management and Stephen D. Minnis, President

  • 9:00 - 9:50 a.m.

    Small Group Walking Tour of Campus with Benedictine Students

  • 10:00 - 10:50 a.m.

    Academic Overview by Dr. Matthew Ramsey. Dr. Ramsey will introduce you to the academic experience and the liberal arts curriculum at Benedictine College.

  • 11:10 - 11:50 a.m.

    Families meet with Admission Counselors to understand the application, scholarship and financial aid processes. You will be joined by Benedictine students so they can address questions you may have about a student’s experience.

  • 12:00 - 12:35 p.m.

    Attend a student Mass in St. Benedict’s Abbey Church


    View Residence Halls. Women will tour Memorial Hall and St. Scholastica Hall and men will tour Turner Hall and Newman Hall.

  • 12:45 - 1:30 p.m.

    Enjoy a complimentary lunch in the Dining Hall with our students.

  • 1:30 - 2:00 p.m.

    Attend the Life at Benedictine College Forum where you will learn about residence life programs, student activities, career services, study abroad opportunities, and more.

  • 2:15 - 3:00 p.m.

    Listen to the Chairs of the Programs of Distinction: Honors Program, Gregorian Fellows Leadership Program, Constitutional Fellows, Ex Corde Media Fellows, Angelico Fellows

  • 2:30 - 3:15 p.m.

    Engineering Overview with Dr. Darrin Muggli in Westerman Auditorium

  • 3:15 p.m.

    Nursing Overview with Dr. Jackie Harris in Mother Teresa Center for Nursing and Health Education


    Biology overview with Dr. Brent Morensen in Westerman Hall


    Home Schooling families are invited to meet with Megan Fassero, Home School Outreach Coordinator, to learn about why Benedictine is uniquely positioned to help home school graduates.

    Join us in the Monte Cassino Inn located in the Haverty Center for refreshments to close out your day with students and staff.

Individual appointments with professors are unavailable on Raven Days. Even more reason to schedule a Personal Campus Visit for one-on-one time with faculty.

COVID-19 Notice

We will manage all visits in a manner consistent with regulations from the state of Kansas and Atchison County.

While Atchison County has lifted its mask mandate, you may be asked to wear a mask while observing a class or in a meeting with a faculty or staff member. In the event that you and your guests are asked to don masks for a specific indoor session, we will provide you with disposable ones. 

Further, we invite those who wish to continue using protective face coverings or masks to feel free to do so. Your comfort and protection are paramount to us.

Transportation to Campus

Benedictine College is offering a $150 flight reimbursement to visitors. Fly out to visit our campus, and we will cover your flight up to $150! To obtain the flight reimbursement, please talk to an admissions representative at the conclusion of the your visit.

Benedictine College personnel will provide transportation to prospective students traveling without a parent or guardian to and from Kansas City International Airport, Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After 5:00 PM and on weekends, we will coordinate transportation through 5 Guys Transportation. For further details, please visit 5guystransportation.com or call 816-891-999.

Prospective students traveling with a parent or guardian are asked to secure their own transportation.

Directions & Parking

We will send a confirmation email with more information approximately 6 days prior to your visit. As a guest of the Office of Admission, you are welcome to park in any available parking spaces on campus. View the Campus Map
