Admitted Student Experience
Friday, March 22, 2024 and Friday, April 5, 2024
Time to finalize your college plans! This experience is for students (and parents) who haven’t visited campus or simply need another look before making that final college decision. At this event you can:
- Meet with a financial aid specialist
- Talk to a professor in your major
- Review your freshman course plans with one-on-one guidance
- Take a tour of campus and freshman residence halls

8:30 a.m.
Check-in takes place in the Ferrell Academic Center, first floor.
8:45 a.m.
Welcome remarks from Peter A. Helgesen, Dean of Enrollment Management, and Stephen D. Minnis, President of the College
9:00 - 9:50 a.m.
Small group walking tour of campus with Benedictine students
10:00-12:00 p.m.
Individual Financial Aid Appointments (Optional and by appointment)
10:00-10:50 a.m.
Your Enrollment: A how-to session on what the process looks like and how you are involved
11:00-11:30 a.m.
Steps to a Successful Future at Benedictine. How can we help set you up for success when graduation comes?
11:30-12:00 p.m.
Overview of Freshman Course Planning and time for questions with your Admission Counselor
12:00-1:30 p.m.
Lunch with current students
12:10-12:45 p.m.
Mass (optional)
12:00-12:30 p.m.
Residence Hall viewings. Groups will depart at 12:00 p.m.
1:30-2:00 p.m.
Student Panel. Hear from current students about their experiences at Benedictine College.
2:00-3:00 p.m.
Attend a class. You will receive instructions about your class observation at check-in.
3:00-4:00 p.m.
Interest Sessions. Hear from faculty from different areas of interest about their respective programs. (Professor availability is based on schedules and not all areas may be represented)
3:00-5:00 p.m.
Individual Financial Aid Appointments (Optional and by appointment)
Transportation
Benedictine College personnel will provide transportation to prospective students traveling without a parent or guardian to and from Kansas City International Airport, Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After 5:00 PM and on weekends, we will coordinate transportation through 5 Guys Transportation. For further details, please visit the 5 Guys Transportation website or call 816-891-9999.
Prospective students traveling with a parent or guardian are asked to secure their own transportation.
