Davyeon Ross

Davyeon Ross, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies, graduated from Benedictine College in the year 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science and minors in business and mathematics. He completed his Master’s in Business Administration at MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Ross is co-founder and COO of ShotTracker, LLC, an Overland Park, Kansas, company which has developed a wearable tech device for basketball players.

Ross is well-known in the Kansas City entrepreneurial scene. He was honored by Ingram’s Magazine in Kansas City in its “20 in their Twenties” feature in 2008 and was honored again in their “40 under 40” feature this year.

While in college, Ross was a star basketball player and his passion for and skill at computer programming led to a Discovery Project that became a commercial application.  Benedictine College presented him with the Young Alumni Award in 2009.

Ross began his career as a software engineer at Sprint’s world headquarters in Overland Park, Kan.   He played a critical role in the development and implementation of the company’s customer relationship management application and later became the technical lead for Sprint’s knowledge management application.  He was recruited to join a startup consulting firm in 2004, eVergance Partners, where he was the lead application/technical consultant for companies around the world, including Research in Motion (Canada), T-Online (Germany), Business Objects (Canada) and Mattel (USA). In 2007, he founded AthletixNation, an officially licensed multimedia sports content platform delivering NCAA Division I college video highlights to media, sports websites and mobile devices.
