The Center for Service-Learning exists to support faculty in their use of service-learning. Faculty who would like to learn more about service-learning are invited to take advantage of any of the following opportunities.

An informal opportunity for faculty who use service-learning in Spring 2018 to review how the service-learning courses and assignments went/are going during the semester, share observations, pose questions, plan for the future, etc.

Applied Learning Conference
March 8-10, 2018 – Wilmington, NC
This year’s conference will provide a venue for scholars, practitioners, and students to gather and share their work on the impact of applied learning (including service-learning). Learn more here. (You may need to scroll down to view.)
Connecting Campuses with Communities
May 7-9, 2018 – Indianapolis, IN – Service-Learning Institute (SLI)
May 9-11, 2018 – Indianapolis, IN – IUPUI Research Academy (IRA)
SLI provides an in-depth explanation of service-learning and how to build and/or improve a course. IRA provides faculty and staff the opportunity to develop a research question about their use of service-learning. You can attend one or both parts of the conference.
