Looking Toward Our 2024 Season

We were very competitive in the 2023 season and are looking to build off it. Here are some of the highlights from our 2023 season:

• We finished with a record of 8-3 and ranked #25 in the final ACFA Coach’s Poll.
• We won the Heart South Conference Championship for the second consecutive year.
• Defeated Baker 30-6 on the road during a cold rainstorm.
• Defense led the nation in Sacks with 40 on the season.
• Won Heart Sportsmanship Award for entire conference for the second consecutive year.
• Ja’Kobe Hinton (OL), Heath Baker (DL), and Jacob Gathright (WR) were named NAIA and AFCA
  All-Americans. This is the second year in a row that Gathright was named All-American.
• 26 Players earned 28 All-Conference accolades with 14 of those earning 1st Team.
• Shawn Wara (RB) was named Heart Conference Freshmen of the Year.
• We signed an excellent recruiting class.
• We did multiple community service projects in Atchison and Benedictine.
• We graduated an excellent group of young men in May.
• New Video Board was installed in June.
• Our camps turned in record numbers including:
  • 250 High School Campers attended our Individual Camp.
  • 212 Youth Campers attended our Youth Camp.
  • 16 High School Teams attended our Team Camp in June with a total of 670 Campers.

I want to invite you to come back for all our home games this season so you can see our team play and see our brand-new Video Board.  I want to thank Athletic Director, Charlie Gartenmayer, for taking the lead on the Video Board Project and all the people that helped make this possible.  It will certainly enhance our game day experience.  Our first one is September 7 vs. William Penn at 1:00 p.m. We must be ready to go each week as the challenge in front of us is mighty. Based on what I am seeing, our team will be ready for it. All our home games and most away games are live streamed on RavenAthletics.com.

We are looking forward to having everyone come out to support us this fall.
